A lot of cleaning work in this area is not really a job. It is a 1099 arrangement that hands you a schedule, takes a cut, and leaves the taxes, the equipment and the slow weeks as your problem. That is the part we set up differently.
Everyone who cleans for Phes is a W-2 employee. Taxes are withheld, pay lands weekly by direct deposit, and supplies and equipment are ours to buy and replace rather than yours. The posted range is $20 to $26 per hour depending on experience and role.
The work is residential cleaning across Chicago and the suburbs, run out of two branches. Oak Lawn covers the southwest suburbs and the South Side. Schaumburg covers the northwest suburbs. You are assigned to a branch and you work routes near it rather than crossing the region every day.
A normal day is four to six homes, usually with a partner, on a route planned the night before. You see the same clients on a schedule, which is the part people are most surprised by. Recurring routes mean you learn a house once and get better at it instead of walking into a stranger's home cold every single time. It also means clients learn your name, and the good ones start asking for you.
We train before you clean alone. That covers our checklists room by room, which product goes on which surface, what to do when something breaks or a client is unhappy, and how the app works for clocking in, notes and photos. If you have cleaned professionally before, training is shorter, but it still happens, because every company does this differently and ours is written down.
What we look for is honestly not experience first. It is showing up, telling us the truth when something goes wrong, and caring whether a house looks right rather than whether the checklist has ticks in it. Experience makes those things faster to teach. It does not replace them.
Reliable transportation and the legal right to work in the United States are required for every role. Spanish or English is fine, and most of our teams work in both.

No. Supplies and equipment are ours. You do need reliable transportation to reach the homes on your route.

No. Most of our teams work in Spanish and English and either is fine. Training is available in Spanish.
What if I have never cleaned professionally?
Apply to the part time role. We train every new cleaner before they work alone. The two experienced house cleaner postings do ask for prior professional experience, but the part time position does not.
