We are hiring a cleaning team lead out of our Schaumburg branch. This is a working role. You clean, and you are answerable for the quality of what your team leaves behind.
This is a W-2 position. Taxes are withheld, pay lands weekly by direct deposit, and supplies and equipment are provided by us. The posted range is $20 to $26 per hour depending on experience.
What a team lead is responsible for. Running a route across the northwest suburbs with one or two cleaners alongside you. Checking the house before the team leaves rather than after a client calls. Training new cleaners on our checklists and product rules until they can work a home alone. Making the call in the moment when a house turns out to be worse than the quote, and telling the office rather than absorbing it quietly. Handling the client at the door when something needs explaining.
The part that separates this from a senior cleaner role is that last one. You are the person the client meets and the person a new cleaner learns from, and both of those are judgment rather than technique. We would rather have someone who is honest about a mistake than someone who is fast.
What we are asking for. Substantial professional cleaning experience, enough that you can train someone else in it. Comfort correcting a colleague's work directly and without drama. Reliable transportation. The legal right to work in the United States. Comfort using a phone app for schedules, time and job photos. Spanish and English together is a real advantage in this role, because you are training and you are talking to clients, though strong ability in either can work depending on the route.
What the day looks like. Four to six homes with your team, a route planned the night before, a walkthrough before each house is closed out, and photos on anything the client should see. You are not doing paperwork in an office. You are cleaning with your team and answering for the result.

Both, and the cleaning is most of it. You work alongside one or two cleaners on a normal route, and you are accountable for the quality of the whole house rather than just your own rooms.
